The AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix 2022 at the Nürburgring is calling
After a one-year break due to the flood disaster in the Ahrtal/Germany, the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix is taking place again this year. Of course we will be there again at the traditional vintage car festival!
Our team and our drivers, around Steffan Irmler, are happy to be there again. We started this year as part of the DTM Classic Cup for the first time with our newly built Opel Kadett E GSI 16V in DTM class 4. DTM class 4 combines vehicles from the DTM years of construction 1987 and 1988.
Our Kadett and our drivers
The Kadett is half original and half replica. It consists of original OPEL individual parts from the 1988 and 1989 DTM season. At that time, the Kadett was driven by Heinz Friedrich *Bimbo* Peil and used by Kissling Motorsport from Oberhausen.
The drivers are Steffan Irmler and Ronny Melkus in the Opel Kadett GSi. Volker Strycek drives our 1996 Snobeck Opel Vectra of the then Belgian OPEL team.
The highlights
We look forward to numerous spectators along the route and in the paddock. Of course we have some nice components from our CNC production with us. Some excerpts from our IRMLER RACING RIMS are also available for inspection. Posters and autographs are available free of charge from our team.
The AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix is a highlight of every historic motorsport season. The approximately 500 historic racing cars date from the late 1920s to the early 1980s. A real journey through time for all fans of international motorsport…
